Table1 show that the new business will be targeting a population of about1,147,125 potential clients who have reached the age of 65 years. Inaddition, the fact that each county has a considerable proportion ofolder adults who live above implies that there is a demand for housemodification services and specially designed houses to facilitate aneasy movement of these seniors.

Servicesreviewed

Olderadults who already have houses to live in may request for differenttypes of modifications depending on their needs. They may target toincrease safety, adaptability, or accessibility of the house ofdifferent rooms. Some of the common services that may be requested byolder adults include adjustments to the bathroom, railings, andstairs to reduce the risk of falling implementation of the lightingsystems for seniors with visual impairment and provision ofassistive technology as well as assistive devices (Chase, Mann, Wasek&amp Arbesman, 2012).

Competitors

Agenciesthat offer house modification and provision of standard designservices for older adults serve the entire state of Florida. Examplesof these organizations that the new company should expect to competewith include Broward County Community Development and FloridaStairlifts Inc (AECR, 2016). The business should also expect tocompete with the state sponsored programs, such as the Florida HomeCare for Elderly and Florida Community Care for Elderly (AECR, 2016).The state sponsored agencies could be offering lower prices, which isa challenge to private agencies.
